5th All-Russian scientific-practical conference “Russian language and problems for socio-cultural adaptation of foreign nationals in the Russian Federation”
On 1 June 2017 the 5th All-Russian scientific-practical conference “Russian language and problems for socio-cultural adaptation of foreign nationals in the Russian Federation” was held in the RUDN University. The Conference was attended by the representatives of more than 150 scientific and educational institutions located both in Russia and abroad, who deal with teaching and training the Russian language, as well as the representatives of a number of public, religious and international entities, including IOM Moscow.
The participants were addressed with welcoming speeches by the provost of the RUDN University, the former Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Mr. V. Filippov, by the President of Russian Society for Teachers of the Russian Language, the President of Russian Academy of Education Ms. L. Verbitskaya and by the representatives of Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, General Administration on Migration Issues of the MoI of Russia and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
During the plenary session of the Conference the representative of IOM Moscow presented a report “Adaptation and integration of foreign nationals as an intrinsic element of counteracting irregular migration” and later on took part in the methodological seminar “Interviewing with foreign nationals and stateless persons in order to recognize them as native Russian speakers: the content, models, techniques, practice for conducting”.
