Awarding Ceremony for the Winners of the 6th International Competition of Educational Projects "Dialogue - the Way to Understanding"
On November 17, 2011, representatives of IOM Moscow took part in the solemn summing up and awarding of the winners of the sixth international competition of educational projects "Dialogue - the way to understanding" on integration of migrants and other ethnic groups.
In his welcoming speech, the representative of IOM Moscow noted that "At the competition, we saw bright ideas in the field of cultural, linguistic and socio-psychological integration of migrants in Russian educational institutions, ideas for preventing the formation and consolidation stereotypes, including ethnic stereotypes.
The competition was organized by the Ethnosfera Center for Interethnic Education, with the support of the Moscow Department of Education, the Department on Integration Assistance of the FMS of Russian, UNHCR, federal departments and regional authorities, and a large group of non-governmental organizations.
Young talented teams performed on the stage of the large hall of the Moscow Department of Education, warm words of congratulations sounded, the winners presented presentations of their social projects and received commemorative certificates and cups from the hands of honored guests.
In 2011, 120 educational projects from 19 regions of the Russian Federation were submitted to the final stage of the competition. The competition was attended by schoolchildren and teachers, heads of educational institutions, scientists involved in the methodology of gender cultural education.
