Cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia
On October 11, 2017 a Scientific and Master's Conference of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia on the topic: "Modern international legal regulation of migration" was organized by Professor of the Department of International Law A. Yastrebova and senior lecturer of the Department of International Law I. Anisimov, with the participation of representatives of IOM Moscow, for second-year undergraduates in the direction of "Public International Law". The conference was opened with a greeting by acting head Department of International Law prof. A. Danelyan. IOM representatives told the audience about the activities of the International Organization for Migration, as well as the Global Compact for Migration.
The initiatives to choose the subject and presentation form belonged to the undergraduates, the organizers drew the attention of the audience to the most relevant topics of international legal regulation of migration and advised them on the content of existing international legal acts and scientific literature. The turning point of the master's discussion was the completion of each presentation with questions from IOM representatives to the audience, which made it possible to assess the scientific significance of the reports and the level of preparation of the conference participants. The presentations prepared by undergraduates E. Suzdaltsev, A. Kaipova, M. Borovskikh, E. Yuzhakova, I. Kovylkina, A. Tulparov and A. Manasra aroused the greatest interest among the audience.
