International Conference "Russian Culture: What We are Bringing to the World?"
On 30 October 2013 representatives of IOM Moscow took part in the international scientific-practical conference "Russian culture: what we are bringing to the world?", which was held in the conference hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. The conference was held within the frameworks of the XVII World Russian People's Council and church-community project "Education: linguistic and cultural adaptation of migrants".
The event brought together topical issues of cultural and linguistic integration of migrants, improvement of migration policy, legislation and law enforcement in the area of migration.
Under the arches of St. Sergius hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour brought together representatives of government bodies, educational institutions, traditional Russian religious communities.
The participants of the conference were welcomed by IOM Moscow Chief of Mission.
Participants discussed the cultural and historical aspects of migrants' adaptation to living in Russia, the problems arising in the course of this process, as well as the existing methods to familiarize migrants with the Russian language, culture and history of the country.
