IOM Moscow Chief of Mission visited the Office of the CIS Executive Committee in Moscow
On April 8, 2019, a meeting between the Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration in Moscow, Abdusator Esoev, and the Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, Sergey Lebedev, took place in the Office of the CIS Executive Committee.
The parties discussed areas of joint activities and prospects for cooperation between the IOM in Moscow and the CIS Executive Committee in the field of migration, combating illegal migration and human trafficking.
Abdusattor Esoev updated about the work of the International Organization for Migration as a whole, and also informed about recent documents adopted within the framework of the UN on migrants and refugees.
The Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee acquainted the participants with the main activities of the CIS Executive Committee, and also informed about the Interstate programme of joint measures to combat crime for 2019-2023, which contains a whole range of activities in the field of combating illegal migration and human trafficking.
The parties assured each other in continuing the close cooperation of the organizations.
